I was told that because I changed schools that I have to attend GEPIK orientation for a second time starting September 21. My school doesn't want me to go but GEPIK is insisting. Is anyone else in the same boat?

Why not just go anyway. The noobs always need a veteran at such occasions to be the 'stick' in the fairy-floss.

LOL... My orientation (not GEPIK) was an education for the 'provincial waygook handler' -

PWH: "Where have you been?"

CM: "Talking to your boss."

PWH: "I don't believe you."

CM: "Here's his 'name card'... call him."

PWH: Shocked

Orientation would actually be fun if one didn't have to share a room with an unknown psycho. (yes... much better the one you know). Wink

+1

I enjoyed the heck out of mine, and I would (and will) go again.

Go again for sure. Orientation was great for me, met lots of people, and I actually found the workshops somewhat helpful. Any reason to get away from school for a few days is good for me. I wish I could go again.

Yea i can remenber Gepirk training very boring. Kind of patronizing. Felt like a prisoner there also. What made me laugh was the teachers escaping over the wall to grab a beer down the road with secuirty gaurds chasing them. Pure and magic fun. We were held up in a country location. The only good points about training was the shits and giggles we had together as teachers. The training was low level and fairly useless. Mostly common-sense, but apparently foreigners dont have any.
