I may be doing this part-time. If you have tutored students for this test, what were your methods and how much did you charge? I'm getting $20-25 and up/hr for one-on-one and $40 and up for small groups. |

I did a few classes. I got good enough to the point that parents would pool their money together to fly me out of state to teach small classes because they heard about me through their friends. I found that they would pay about $1500-2000 for a weekend class after expenses. But I found admissions work to be WAY more lucrative and can be done completely over the phone, so I stopped teaching SAT a few years ago.
What you are getting paid sounds about right for a person just starting to teach. You need to make a name for yourself before you can expect more. But once you have a good reputation, the clients not only come to you, they BEG to come to you. |
