|
|
I recently read about a commuter subway pass being offered in Seoul, costing approximately 40, 000w. Has anyone purchased this in the past? Can you buy it at the machines, since they did away with the live customer service reps? I understand it's valid for one month ... does it work on all subway lines in Seoul, and is it unlimited? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! |

I've used it, and it is pretty good savings if you have to travel a lot.
It is valid for only 30 days, but you can top it up within 30 days and you won't lose whatever is left on the card before the top up.
You have to pay a 2,500 won deposit and if you don't top it up and let it expire, you don't get you money back. You lose the card deposit, too. |

Problem is they're no good for buses..so if you have to transfer at all, it hurts you. |

Thanks for the info, guys. This card sounds perfect for me, as I never need to take the bus. Does anyone know where to buy one of these cards, now that they've done away with the counter staff at the subway stations? I don't see an option to buy a commuter's pass on the refill your card machine ... |

That's a good point. May be you can try the Tourist information booths in Myeong-dong or Insadong. |
