Hi Everyone!
This is my first time posting but I've read the forums alot...
I have been offered a position in Songdo (a part of Incheon) with YBM. I've read terrible things about both YBM and Incheon but the recruiter is pushing this as an opportunity in a futuristic city with loft apartments.
Does anyone live in Songdo? What is the deal with this "new city"? |

| There are quite a few folks working in songdo right now. I am one of them. I don't know about YBM in particular, but Songdo is a fairly decent place to work. The kids are wealthy and their English is good. However, I would have to wonder about the "loft apartment" in Songdo International City. The only westerner I know who teaches and lives in Songdo is married and has his own place. Everyone else I know lives somewhere along the incheon subway from Bupyeong to Dongmak. Apartments in Songdo are EXPENSIVE and I doubt you school would pay for one. That being said I am glad to live where I do as I can bike to work in about 20 minutes, but I don't live near my kids and there is much more to do outside Songdo. Feel free to PM me if you'd like. |
