I have arrived in Korea about 3 weeks ago and started a blog stating everything I learn, what I expected, and many other details I find useful for people looking to come to Korea and teach.
There are many things that I have read online before I came over, that have turned out to be false, and other things that I never heard of. Please feel free to check out my blog for information at:

I don't mean to sound negative, but this has been done many times. Isn't this redundant now that we have galbijim.com and other similar sites? |

Jacob - could I ask you a question please?
What have you read about Korea that turned out to be false?
You have been in Korea three weeks now so if anyone is going to know - it's you! |

Only three weeks and you're going to tell us about life in Korea? That's kinda like a 10 year old trying to counsel people after a divorce during recess. Your blog goes into how you substituted your life (eating McDonald's food) for the same in Korea (eating at Lotteria). You seem to have missed Korean culture in those 3 weeks.
Conclusion, give yourself some time. Try some bibimbap, samgyeopsal, etc... Then write to us after a few months, |

LOL, i agree. if you're going to tell people about "life in korea" you've got to at least try to immerse in the culture before saying anything about it. |

| i disagree with the others here. I appreciate new and fresh insights on Korea. I honestly get tired of those 'experienced' people who have long since forgotten what it's like to be completely new to a situation. Every experience is useful and can be informative to others. Thanks for posting your blog! |

I agree with chaseh. As long as you are honest and thorough, I think writing about your experience is great. I've spent a lot of time on galbijim.com and I really like it, but any individual that wants to start blogging or vlogging about their own experiences would be helpful.
Now, like I said: BE HONEST. Thinking that your three weeks of experience will be sufficient to give me a well-rounded view of Korea is a little naive. But don't let nay-sayers hamper your efforts. I'll be reading as long as it is updated frequently. |

| Wow. I know somebody who recently left an address on a website to yet another website who got banned. Sometimes you try to help people and you get rocks thrown down on you for your efforts. |

Great stuff and keep writing....
Whatever others say here, just tuck it away for a too sunny day.
Smile, from what I can read/see - you're much above it.
