|

Hello,
my boyfriends birthday is coming up in a few weeks and I'm stumped on what to get him.
i was thinking about buying him tickets to go on vacation for a weekend together somewhere, but hes still a university student so his family may now allow him (korean.)
i thought about buying him salsa lessons, but if we wanna do that together its impossible since we both live in different cities.
i thought about buying musical tickets but i can't find any good shows and he has midterm exams during the only ones that are good...
anything is appreciated... thanks in advance. ^^ |

Well, what are your boyfriend's interests? Does he have hobbies? Does he like sports? Video games? Travelling? Music? |

Depends what his interests are.
I wouldnt like the gifts you listed above with the exception of the weekend vacation together. I'd shoot myself in the head if my GF bought me tickets to a musical or salsa classes..
SOOOOOOO buy him somethign hes interested in...
a good book, dinner and a movie , some game?
is he interested in photography? buy him somethign to do with photography.. |

oh and if you dont know what your "boyfriend" likes ..
maybe you should buy some time together so you get to know each other.
If thats the case chances are he doesnt know you well either and would love time together =p. Such as the weekend away if he can go. |

Here is a fail-safe method that I always use. Ask him what he wants and then get him that. |

It's Korea. Just give cash. That way you can put an exact monetary value on your love. Then when its your birthday, he can give you the exact amount of money back. If he gives less, you know he dosnt respect or love you. |

I don't think so. Just because she has a Korean ID doesn't automatically make her Korean. |

True! But, I played the stats on this one. My reasoning, yes, her board name. Why would some one choose a Korean name as an alias on this board? Next, the type of question she posted here on Dave's is screaming a non-western human.
Bottom line, my money is on she's a Korean!! Place your bet tzechuk!! |

The OP mentioned in one of the threads that she came to Korea and was *adopted* by a Korean family? Which is what led me to believe that she is not at all Korean.
I think that's what she said, although I could be mistaken.
I had a Korean name after meeting my ex-husband, he gave it to me, which is now our daughter's name... so there are many reasons why people would have a Korean name. |
