|
|
Unfortunately I was unable to bring my hockey equipment when I came due to luggage restrictions. I did manage to bring my skates which I figured would be the hardest item to find in Korea. I live in Gwangju (Jeollanam-do) and I need to buy the rest of my gear so I can start playing here.
I have searched the Buy/Sell/Trade forum and there doesn't seem to be anything available at the moment. Does anyone have any suggestions with regard to where I can buy some hockey equipment? It looks like HockeyMonkey.com will ship internationally, has anyone gone this route before?
Any assistance would be much appreciated, I got a wicked craving to lace 'em up and hit the ice. |

Jim Paek used to have a hockey equipment store near Mokdong ice rink. It has been a few years since I've been there so I can't say for certain if it is still open.
I'm sure someone else will post here with better info shortly. |

For 150,000 won, a Brown large chest protector, catching glove, and equipment bag, (i have a blocker glove as well that I'll just give for free as it is on its last limbs as well as some jerseys). There is some wear and tear, but still in pretty good shape. I am also willing to negotiate price and send it to where ever you are in Korea.
upon request I can send pictures of the equipment. please email me the request at [email protected]
**also if you know a Korean who would like to purchase the equipment, please send me a message, and I will give my phone number as I am able to converse in Korean as well.
*** I also have a pair of 721 Tacks player ice skates that I'm looking to sell. They are a men's size 7 1/2, and I am selling for 70,000 price negotiable. |

In related news, the Asia League's Season is starting this weekend.
September 19th, 2:30 pm in Anyang. the two Korean teams will play this weekend, on saturday and sunday
Last year the Anyang team won the regular season but blew it in the finals, first time a non-japanese team has finished first in the regular season.
This year they also aren't allowed to change after an icing, so it should make the game a little more interesting. |
