I am planning to teach in Gyeonggi next year on an E-2 visa. My family will also be joining me. My spouse works in the technical/research PV Solar field and hopes to continue this work in Gyeonggi where the industry is bustling.

Would it be advisable for my spouse to come on my visa, then find work and change visas? Is it even possible? Or is it better for him to get his own employment and visa settled before heading to Korea?

My spouse is worried about committing to a position from 1/2 way across the world without ever having visited the country, let alone the neighborhoods and company.

I've tried asking the Korean consulate, but haven't gotten an answer. I can't seem to find this answer anywhere online... I really appreciate your help!
