I'm a new teacher in Korea and the students, as well as the other teachers, would like me to do an American culture lesson. It seems like such a huge topic. Breaking it up is not a good option because I only see some classes every 2 weeks. Any advice, topics, videos or any other suggestions. I teach 1st and 2nd grade high school boys, public school. Thanks.

Actually that would have been my suggestion. Focus on smaller points of American culture, like foods, movies, computer/video games, holidays, music, etc.

I just did a pretty vague one, like americans like sports (used pics to show which ones), americans like many foods (pics), americans like pets (pics), etc.

Do a slideshow on American schools. Some topics you could address:

What time do they start/finish?

When are the holidays?

When do teenagers start to drive?

What do teenagers do after school?

Spring break

Summer vacation

What subjects are taught in school?

How are they graded?

Football

Prom

etc...
