The Han.
PS - Big win over UConn. Have you tried googling this question? |

I'm too lazy, plus I'm busy trying to figure out how to pronounce your username. You can fish on the Han? |

I'm just joking about the Han. I really don't know about fishing in Seoul to be honest, sorry. Busan would be the place to be, or the sticks somewhere. I'm sure you can find something.
My username? Well, the first part is what it looks like... |

This was asked elsewhere...
Do you need a fishing license in Korea? |

I don't live near Seoul so I'm not familiar with the fishing up there; I fish mainly around the Pyeongtaek area. There are fish in the Han, btw. I think for bass, the closest to you and also maybe the best is Singal lake near Suwon. For some info, check out www.anglerstown.com - toward the bottom is a link for "Destinations," once you click that, on the resulting page is a link for the English version and you can then click on the various provinces to find the hotspots near you. You can also click on the different types of fishing on the left side (sea, lure, fly etc), most of the posts are in Korean but some English-speaking folks do post there as well and the webmaster translates most of the posts both ways.
As for a license, the answer is no. Some of the lakes/reservoirs do have a guy that will come around and charge a "maintenance fee" which can range from 5,000 - 10,000 won, which can get expensive pretty quick. From what I hear, there's some excellent fly fishing along the east coast. |
