What websites could one read to get information on finding a teaching gig in a specific area of a city, at a somewhat specific time? This individual is already in country and I am assuming that using a recruiter at this point, would be foolish.
Thank You. |

The jobs section here has specific job openings. You could also post your resume here and usually get lots of e-mails in a short period of time. Being in country and ready to go you'd probably have no trouble at all. |

Just be careful with your choice. Now is a bad time to find a job back in the USA. Many people there are unemployed or are underemployed after having to move down the job ladder. Some of these people have taught in Korea before, yet choose not to return to Korea to fill all those openings that you'll soon become aware of. What does that say about those jobs? |

I am doing this as a sort of favor for a K-Teacher. I was also inquiring about the usual bullshit. If said Waygoogin is already in country, does he need to return home for background check etc? What about the health check, ARC and visa etc. Also, I would suspect his native country would effect this criteria.
This person is hoping to land a gig in a specific district of Busan at a time when his current contract ends. It sounds like mission impossible on the surface. I just don't know. I know there are some good smart long timers here on Dave's and was hoping they might be able to fill me in the best way to go about this. |

I realized this after I clicked submit and do not know how to edit the title of a new thread. I know it sounds like I am hiding the fact that it is me looking for the gig, but it is not. I am doing this as a favor!! |

Well, I see that you have corrected the spelling. At any rate, I hope your friend finds a satisfying job. |
