Has anyone been offered jobs from posting your resume on the site?

If so, are they legitimate positions that fit your criteria you may have disclosed in the post?
(for example, if you wrote you want to teach middle school level at a hagwon in Seoul, do employers/recruiters contact you with positions that fit that discription?)

Which employers or recruting compaines contacted you?

And, has anyone taken the job they were offered from employers who saw your resume?

I'm really curious to know if employers really take the time to look at resumes.

Both times that I posted my resume I literally got hundreds of responses. You'll get many recruiters contacting you and you will also get a lot of employers contacting you directly.

You will get a lot of crap this way, but if you know what to look for you will be able to sift through it all to find the good jobs. Just don't take the first job that comes along!!

I would highly recommend posting your resume. Be patient though and try to answer every e-mail, even though it will take a lot of time.

One of my coworkers got her job from having her resume online. (This site? Not sure.) Our employer was looking for people with their paperwork in order, and able to start in a month.

I'm not sure exactly what kind of job she was looking for, but I know it wasn't this. It's a good job though, so she accepted.

You can also post on serious teachers (dot) com.

The more the better until you can find something you like.

Protip: Post your resume and a link to a hosted photo, ideally a very flattering one. You can thank me later.

I got my first university position by posting my resume on Dave's, and it was a great position.

Yes,

I posted a resume on an obscure little website and it was found there by my previous employer. Actually, a couple of foreigners working there found it, and they passed it on to the boss. Lucky, lucky.

Never would have guessed anyone would have found anything on that site, since it had so few hits, but someone did!

Have only gotten 1 non-recruiter contact through repeated posting of a resume with much experience and MA in teaching....

create a new email address or use one that is kind of redundant at the moment, so as to lessen the stress of being spammed.
