Does Korea have any type of medical regulatory board? Or enforceable standards? I'm usually a positive person, but I've been sick these past few weeks and the medical care I've received has been definitely substandard. First place I went was an ENT. From where I was sitting I could see that they weren't sterilizing the instruments between patients. I decided to stay and ask about it. I got a different doctor, when I asked about the first, he replied, "Oh yes, that doctor is very lazy." That place eventually referred me to another place when they couldn't figure out the problem. This place gave me an injection after the appointment, and threw the needle on the table with a bunch of other needles rolling around. I decided not to go back there. Place number three was more professional and sanitary, but when I asked about the seven or eight medications I was put on, including decongestants when I'm not congested and other things I didn't need, the doctor replied, "Everybody same. Standard medication".
I don't like to create problems or conflict, but really...shouldn't someone be overseeing these places? Should I write a letter or complain? These are safety issues. |
