|
|
I want to drive from the port (where the ferry comes in) to Mugadon in Ulsan (near the Ulsan University). I have checked out tons of sites on the internet for maps but they were all lacking. I read a previous post about a guy getting directions so I thought I would try here...any thoughts would be appreciated - - t-minus 2 weeks andf counting
Thanks |

From the port area, folow the signs that take you toward Seoul. As you exit the port area, you make a right hand turn onto a fairly major arterial road. Stay left and go over the bridge and then it will take you about 30 minutes, traffic willing to get to Route 1. When you are on the expressway, take the Daegu route and then take the Ulsan exit, then just follow the signs. Either 7 or 14 will bring you back to Ulsan. If you get lost. |

Are mototcycles allowed on Route 1 down there? In the Seoul area they aren't, nor are they allowed on any of the 100km/h speed limit roads.
Best thing is to buy a road atlas. I got a great one at Carrefour for about 10,000 won that covers the whole country with nicely detailed maps of all the major cities. |

The only way you can drive a motorcycle is by putting a steering wheel on it...try riding it instead. |

I used to travel, by car, between the two cities rather frequently. You can try leaving from the PNU area and following the signs to Ulsan. Since you're on a motorcycle, I'd stay off the expressway (in fact, I'm not sure bikes are allowed on the expressway). The other route is from Haeundae to Ki-jung to Ulsan. The last route is rather nice IMHO.
The route numbers, if I can remember properly, are 7 and/or 14. Good luck. |

Motorcycles are definitely not allowed on the expressway.
I usually get lost in Pusan once I get there, but the commute between Ulsan and Pusan is a snap. If you can find your way to rout number 7, its pretty much a straight line. I believe Pusan University is located on number 7. It will take you right to the Ulsan Mansu soccer stadium. Trust me, once you locate number 7, its impossible to get lost. |

Thx everyone (except waggo...you bone head)...I got a hold of a few maps on-line and suspected route 7. I guess the tricky part is finding it. Hears hoping we have some nice weather...enjoy the holiday. |
