GEPIK - refund of airfare if in country possible?

have a friend who arrived in Korea on his own plane ticket and might be offered a position through GEPIK.

Have any of you had your airfare refunded from GEPIK if you paid your own way here (and kept the receipts etc)?

I know I managed to get a refund from SMOE in the exact same situation but no idea about how GEPIK are on this issue.
