Is internet gambling illegal in Korea? Back in America, it was illegal to gamble online. Is it the same in Korea? Can you use an American credit card from inside Korea? Anybody ever do it?

have a look at this article.

http://www.articlesbase.com/law-articles/is-gambling-illegal-in-south-korea-1097050.html

I think the answer is 'probably' - although one of the main casinos in seoul ( 7 Luck, i think ) run online gambling for foreigners. I know people that have done it, but i couldn't tell you what kind of credit card they used. I also know that a number of online casino sites from the UK and the US are blocked in South Korea.

As an aside, i don't think it is illegal to gamble online in america. However the transaction of money for the process of gambling is illegal (or something along those lines ). hence all online transactions are based off shore. I know of several casinos and sportsbooks that accept US customers.

Not illegal at all.

However, it's nearly impossible. It will be a mountain of paperwork to prove that you are outside of the USA. Plus, many sites don't accept KRW so you'll have to set up a foreign bank account and then prove that account too. In short, it's legal, but a huge hassle.
