I'm changing from an F-2-1 to an F-5 and it's been over 5 months and not a peep from Immigration ?! Anyone else in the same boat??

I think you should have your wife call--that's a long wait--never heard of anything like it.

I've met some people for whom it took three months, with the home visit.

I know one joker who is only nominally (with the literal meaning of that as "in name") "married" to his "wife" who got his F5 in less than a month.

So, call and find out. Hate to say it, but they might have dropped your application behind a desk or something, you should check.

I agree.

You should be giving immigration a call and chasing that up.

They probably misplaced it or the guy who use to do F-5s is on vacation/sick/no longer working there and hasn't been replaced yet, and you have been informed by immigration's usual way, ESP.

You should know this already .

Mine took about two months. I've never heard of anyone's taking anywhere near 5 months.

That's the thing! I've called and she has called but I can never talk to anyone except the operator ?! Even the wife had no luck!? They keep saying someone will call and we have to wait for that!!

Does anyone have a phone number to the Mokdong office?? Other than the 1345 number!? They don't have any info at that number!!

It took 7 months for me to get mine even after several calls. When they finallly called to ask if the information I turned in was still correct I told them "I don't know. It has been almost 7 months since I gave it to you. How should I remember?"
They guy was apologetic and nice. A change from the usual immigration idiots I deal with.

Thanks for the info and I'm glad I'm not the only one!!! I'll call them on monday and see what happens!!
