Lately the media has been tracking the whole Anti-Obama fervor. People are saying its "Hate-speech" and "racist". Come on now. Where were all these people from 2000-2008 Bush bashing was heard high and low, with people openly saying he should die.
Let's bash Bush and make a game out of it. When its time for people to bash Obama, its "hate-speech", "racism", and a threat to the President's life.
HELLO? Double standard? |

People protested Bush and Obama.
When they protested Bush the protesters were put on a terrorist watch list and called anti-American.
When people protest against Obama (some of the protesters even bring weapons to the protest) they are called heroes by the most watched "news" channel in America.
HELLO! DOUBLE STANDARD?

Bush protesters on the Terrorist watch list?
HA HAHAHHAHA!!!
That is hilarious. So almost every Hollywood actor, journalist, and anti-Bush person in the country is on a nation-wide terrorist watch list?
No anti-Bush protester ever got violent or brought weapons to a protest?
The point is, people have been protestinga President's actions since day 1 of the founding of the United States. I'm sure there was someone out there who thought George Washington shouldn't be President. The only thing that is different is today's protesters are called "Racists" and their protests are "Hate-speech".
All because our President is Black...*COUGH* I mean, he's half WHITE. |

What exactly is Obama doing that is generating such hate? Did he start another meaningless war? Did provide generous tax cuts to the wealthy while neglecting us middle/lower class folks? Was it because he was born half black?

I agree.
THe question you should be asking is if there would be any of these town hall shenanigans and uproar if Obama was white. At first I didn't think it would make a difference but looking at some of the people who are pissed off and why they are pissed off, I'm not so sure now. A lot of people in town hall meetings were old white racists and they can't stand that someone who isn't white is currently their president. The funny thing is what Obama is doing will not affect their lives on iota. Many of them are over 65 and are on Medicaid. They are just completely clueless but feel like they are doing the right thing holding up placards that say nazi and socialist. *smacks forehead* Parents even pulled their kids out of the class where Obama was to give a NON PARTISAN speech of basically "stay in school and don't do drugs." This is the freaking PRESIDENT. If he was white then there wouldn't have been any of that.
As Morning Star points out, taking the fricking country to WAR and proposing a different health care system (which really is not different as most things do not change one iota) are not the same thing. Even though the left wing (which doesn't exist in mainstream media in my opinion) irks me somewhat, many people were pissed at Bush for valid reasons. |

Was Obama put on that watchlist? He not only protested against Bush, but had a history of hanging out with terrorists and anti-Americans.

No one ever said that if you disagree with Obama then you are a "racist" but many racists like my grandfather do not like him because Obama is half black.

"Anti American" is such a stupid piece of shit that they spew and it's already lost it's meaning. For me "anti-american" means anti-justice, anti-liberty, anti-freedom. Which of these, may I ask, has Obama broken and which of these has BUSH broken? |

On Facebook, I made mention that I wasn't against the whole idea of gov't healthcare, seeing as how it is inexpensive in Korea, but I am against giving illegals the chance to get healthcare. In response, a former co-worker went on a diatribe and wrote this:

No body in public has ever seen Obama's birth certificate Only his certificate of live birth which is not enough to get you a drivers liscense in the USA. but that is good enough to vett him to the Dems.
How did he write a brilliant novel when just a few years earlier he got a b- on an uninspired paper he turned in. Does Bill Ayers ring any bells?
This Obama fellow has just one thing after another that should be quite a clue to most people that we should be very, very careful and keep his feet to the constitution. He hates the constitution and will go against it every chance he gets. He has alienated Israel and bowed and kissed the feet of the king of Egypt. He was born a muslim simply because his father was one and to my knowledge has never denounced it. He was born British simply because his father was under the rule of the UK when he was born so his dual citizenship in itself should disqualify him from presidency.

This could go on and on but I do hope we have a country that hasn't been given away when you get back home. I am already thinking quite seriously about the Philippines. It doesn't take much to live there and the quality of health is pretty good and still affordable.

Our country is changing radically. This man is going to punish the successful businessman and give it to those needy (Who never worked a day in their life other than holding out their hand) And on and on this goes. Yeah, it's not at all anti-American to attend a church for twenty years where the man who married you and baptised your kids says during his sermons, "Turn to the person next to you and say God damn America!".
I'd also argue that I have no intention of defending Bush, but I gotta go sharpen my pitch-fork and wash my denim overalls as me and my fellow racist Obamessiah-deniers have a lynching and Hitler appreciation hoe-down to attend. |

What a loser. Talking to people like you is like talking to a chair but at least a chair is not annoying. You're taking it of context. I listened to part of the speech and it was about how America was becoming a racist, nationalistic country. Which is actually kinda true. Did you even listen to the speech or were you too busy banging your first cousin?

Why should illegals (or ANYONE) not get health care. They should get booted out of the country, sure, but healthcare should not be denied to anyone. Or maybe it should, my old Xtian morality remains even as the faith recedes.
If people were honest, they would realize that much of the antagonism towards Obama is not wholly political but racial. Or at least some of it. Half, 25%? I dislike Obama but not because of his race. I dislike Obama because he's squandering a chance to start fresh from the Bush (easily the worst president in US history) disaster.
Racist antogonism was pretty close to negligible regarding Bush. |
