I owned a 96 elantra once. Biggest lemon ever. Every month it was like a new disaster.
Bad valves necessitating an engine job
transmission
entire exhaust system
those were just the major repairs...
all of this in like.. 9 months
finally the timing went on it and I let it rust and sold it for parts for a guy who had an identical model to mine.

Nice. Seems things have a knack for turning to shite in your incapable hands. Anyhow, my car is well maintained and I have owned it for 8 years without issue, so take your sad thread-crapping attempt back to the tech forum.

what else turned to "shite" in my hands? I recall pointing out the laptop I have is working fine, you are the one who has a religious objection to people enjoying the stuff they buy. Do you think you're incredibly clever for trying to dodge the ToS with the misspelling? you must be pretty proud of yourself. I didn't even realize you were the thread starter, because frankly that is how insignificant you are.

Sorry.

The air conditioning was charged shortly before parking it, but has since lost its cooling power. It was 35,000 for a recharge last time I did it. The A/C belt was replaced at that time as well.

tigershark, is all you have is 200,000? so if you had your things this way, would you get the ps3 or this car? i'm just curious.

i'd be interested in buying a car (maybe not this one, but who knows). currently i ride a motorcycle. i don't know if i can handle the cold winters anymore. a car would be nice (and i could finally drive on the expressway).

also, how much are 4" speakers here in korea?
and lastly, where is the cigarette 9v lighter thing? is it convenient enough for a dmb/navi add-on? or is it tucked underneath the armrest like some cars?

thanks

4" speakers have a range of prices, as anywhere, and of course the range will indicate quality. The ones I bought were not terrible expensive, but not the worst either. If I could remember the cost of them, I would say. The deck and 4 speakers were about 500,000. Low end I suppose by some standards...?

I forgot to mention that the deck is a Sony CD/MP3 (on a disk) player, 58w x 4 channels. No amp, just the deck.

As for the lighter, it is on the lower center console, below the stereo.

Thanks for the interest.

Damn...I am tempted to buy the car just so I can take out the stereo system and install it on my Choinori!

I will be in Seoul next weekend. I have to checkout some details to see what the process is with transferring a car from Seoul to Daegu. If all goes well I will take it off your hands.

Well, the deal turns to a pumpkin on Tuesday afternoon, so get your buy on.

FWIW, there is no BS with this deal. Pics are above and the car is all I say. I am not fly-by-nighter and have no interest in burning anyone by selling them a lemon.

The car is mechanically sound with a body that has a few bruises.
