Seems like I'll be going to the EPIK orientation this week. What can I expect?
Can anyone share their experiences? |

I was told I would be attending this as well.
Is this going to be in Seoul? I'm located in Busan and they haven't told me much so go figure that I have to get my info from Dave's. |

do we receive compensation for going to this thing? I heard we only get 20000 won a day.
Mine will be in Seoul. |

If you get paid you are lucky! I did the orientation in August and we didn't get any money
It's a lot of classes. 4 a day. Really, really long days. Some of the classes were helpful and some just seemed like a waste of time. |

my coteacher was boasting about how I'm going to get PAID. Yeah I guess I will be paid, just at a mod edit fraction of what I normally get paid at PS which isnt much to begin with.
You have a really good attitude toward things like this. |

Well hopefully at the very least we'll get to meet some new people. I haven't met any English speaking persons since I arrived last week. And not that it's a bad thing, but it's nice to speak with someone in your native tongue once in a while. |

Expect to take naps at lunchtime if you're fresh off the plane - there's very, very little downtime until around 11 at night.
Talk to as many people as possible, remember that they're in the same boat as you - some of my best friends here are people that I connected with at orientation, even if they live in other cities.
Enjoy it! |
