Well, the local Home plus is selling some mountain bikes (folding and non-folding) for 30 to 40% off. Has anyone tried any of these models?

I don't know what your budget is for purchasing a bike, but consider purchasing a quality bike, rather than buying one because it's on sale. A poor quality bike can be a lot of grief and a few hundred more might save you some serious headaches.
For 500k you can a reasonable bike that'll last you years if you keep it maintained. For 120k you'll get a bike that you'll have to replace in a year or less, depending on how you ride it. |

| The bikes I'm looking at usually go for 169,000 and are on sale because it's the end of Summer. |

| If you're just going to be riding on a sidewalk, then fair play and get what you can afford. If you're going to be doing anything other than that, I'd highly recommend getting a halfway decent bike. |

| Even better, do yourself a favor and get a used bike. I paid 140,000 and got a really good used bike that is more than satisfactory. There are so many transient foreigners around, you should be able to find a good one. |

| I'm a totally bike snob, but to be honest, just buy one from Home Plus if you get a deal. It took me a month before I found a bike to buy used. If you're just cruising around, those bikes will do and you can probably turn it around for 70 000 or 80 000 when you leave. |
