How do you deal with a food crisis as a small country with many mouths when you have little agricultural land? You buy a huge part of another country.

This is a good move by the Koreans. The future is going to see food crisises in my opinion and maybe this project can be mutually beneficial.
However the swipe at Westerners by Lee Kee Churl "Some African countries export fruit and import fruit juice, or export olives and import olive oil, simply because their past colonialists did not teach them how to process food," seems to be blaming the west for some of Africa's problems and is a little condesending.

So Koreans are sort of colonialists now themselves and will "teach" Africans.
