Hi,
Can you anyone tell me if they've ever ordered books/goods from Amazon and had them delivered to Korea? Did you pay duty/taxes on the delivery in South Korea? Thanks! |

I ordered some books, and some CDs to my place when I lived in Incheon.
Only paid shipping (and that alone is too much!)
Get small, light packages. Check Kyobobook online to see if you can get the same book through the Korean company That will be cheaper in the long run, especially if you want to order in bulk
Edit:
Brad, be careful for having expensive items (electronics, etc) shipped via a friend/family member. Customs here are @$$-#0135 and they will charge you for anything shrink-wrapped. |

for books just order from www.whatthebook.com - located in itaewon they have free shipping on orders over 25,000 won
for electronics get them shipped to your parents house back home. Get your parents to take it out of the box, use it for a week, remove all the tags, and then send it via UPS. this way it is 'used' and can't be charged for duties |
