| When do you find out where you are teaching when you apply for EPIK? |

It depends on... to whom you apply for an EPIK position.
The 'national office' and every POE/MOE are different. It runs the gamut from: being able to choose your actual school before you sign a contract , to not being told where you are going until the last day of orientation.
As with many things in K-land, that explanation should be 'as clear as mud'. |

| In Gyeongbuk, you find out where you have been placed during the meeting on the last day with the POE. Other POE's, as cruisemonkey, may do differently. |

Thats about right. Sometimes (especially mid-semester) your recruiter & various people in the hierarchy will know where you're likely bound but that, like everything here, is subject to last-minute change, so you'll be left out of the information loop.
There are exceptions. If you've made your hiring clearly contingent on special placement needs (nearby family or friends, established local affiliations, etc, & maybe bring some special skill to the table) you could come in assured of a specific situation. |
