|
|
My adult students never have had halloween parties. So I just want to spend a class doing silly games. I already told them that this is just fun, we are not going to stop and learn anything.
Does anyone have any ideas? Yes, we will "bob" for apples, and play "Pin the nose on the pumpkin", but I need some other ideas.
I will not have them do face painting.
We used to pair up and "make a mummy" out of each other using toilet paper, and the winner is the team that used up all the t.p.
I was thinking of making a matching game using pumpkins, witches, ghosts, etc.
Remember, this is just going to be a silly class. Nothing to do with learning.
I want to do this with all my classes. I have 5. Some have English skills very high, and others low. The highest level is all together, so that makes things easier. |

Cheap and easy. Dress up as a pack of smokes. You just need some boxes and some paint. |

Thanks for the idea, but no costumes.
Only games. |

How about the game murder mystery? You know one student is chosen as the murder. Maybe you could give them all cards and one student will get the card that says they are the murder. Then the murder blinks to kill off the other students one by one...something like that. |

maybe bobbing for apples isn't the greatest idea with swine flu going around?
how about preparing some boxes with things like peeled grapes for "eyeballs", cooked spaghetti for "witch's hair", etc. and they have to take turns feeling them and guessing what they are? i forgot exactly how that activity goes, but another poster mentioned this in a post last week |

I've got my high school girls watching and dancing to "Thriller" by Michael Jackson. Also doing Halloween costume pictionary. |

Pictionary
Hot Seat - Teacher holds a vocab card. 1 student sits in the hot seat. Their teammates must use English to describe themed vocabulary words as they can.
20 Questions - same with the vocab except asking yes-no questions. "Am I a monster?" etc.
Have your students dress up and take them out for soju and noraebang afterwards. |
