Do you think if I download the movie it will have the option for Korean built into it and it will pop up when I load it in the computer. Eventhough, the info on the torrenz does not mention Korean. Confused

subtitles. if you dont know how to use them, after you download them, you need to change the file name to match the movie file. so if your elf file is ELF.AVI you need to change the subtitles to ELF.SMI. then just put them into the same file and play the avi file. and then, korean subs

I downloaded the movie and then burned it onto a dvd,but I am having a hard time understanding how to add Korean subs to the movie. I am going to play it on my k teachers computer for Winter camp. I do not want to mess with her computer and hear about it. My computer has a VLC player on it. Any suggestions. Thanks Confused

Download GOM Player and set the subtitle font to Malgun Gothic....VLC will not display Hangul subtitle files correctly. Use the link provided above to find a subtitle for the movie and download it to your computer. Open Elf in GOM Player and then select and drag the .srt file (subtitle file) into the open GOM window. Subtitles should start automatically.....if they don't then right click on the screen and select subtitles - make sure show subtitles is checked.

You will want to check with your coteacher to make sure the subs are properly synced with the movie. If they are not then try another set of subs from GOM. Also you can use Subtitle Explorer in GOM Player to manually sync the subs.....again helps if you have a Korean speaker handy or can understand enough Korean words to work out if what is being said on screen seems to jive with what the subs are showing at that moment.

or you can use subtitle workshop to change the smi files to srt files. I have found thay vlc player does work (you often need to change the unicode language of your pc to korean).

I wouldn't burn it to dvd, i would play it through the computer, that way you can adjust it on the fly

here's a link to subtitle workshop

You could save yourself a lot of time and just ask your school to buy it.
