Does anyone know of a good badminton store in Seoul? I'm looking to pick up a racket for high club-level play, and probably some strings as well. I live in Sinchon, but would travel to find a decent store.
Most of the sports stores I've come across so far are multi-purpose and only have relatively low-level equipment. With badminton being so popular over here, I thought I'd have found a speciality store by now, but no luck! |

I passed one recently, but I didn't take special note of it as I was just walking around the neighbourhood, so my directions are somewhat sketchy.
It's near Mangwon station (line 6, one past Hapjeong). You walk west out of exit 2, I suppose it would be left (towards the World Cup Satdium anyway) and at the first major intersection you turn left- I think there's a Pizza Hut and/or Baskin Robbins there. A bit down that street on your left will be a fairly large store that says "Badminton" on the sign. I believe it's a yellow sign, though I might be wrong. It's in English and hard to miss, though.
If you don't see it after a few minutes, it might actually be down the other way of the street from the main interstection (so turn right at the Pizza Hut). I'm almost positive it's the way I mentioned above, but as I said I was just out for a walk about a month ago and could be wrong. It's definitely on that street though. |

Thanks! I'll give it a look next week (and if they don't have what I'm looking for, they might know where I can get it). |
