I have plans to go up to High 1 on this Tuesday. If anyone is there today (Sunday), let me know if all this rain in Seoul is rain or snow in the mountains.
If it is rain, that would pretty much kill the slopes.
Hope it is snow!
Thanks, Drew |

| Please post your experiences Drew. I'm looking at heading out to the mountains next weekend and would like to know how the slopes are. |

I went to High 1 yesterday.
They had 4 runs open with man-made snow. I didn't see any natural snow around. They did a good job to get 4 runs open; didn't notice any rocks or sticks on the runs. There was the Gondola and one lift open.
I had a great time! But I think that the weekends might be too crowded if they still only have two lifts running.
It was Tuesday and the advanced runs were almost empty. Very short or no lift lines.
The bus was great. Almost from my doorstep and back for 30,000 won. The bus info is on this page:
http://www.buspia.co.kr/_rental/seasonpass/stpway.asp?sector=horesort
I tried the online reservation (with a friends help) but it reported errors because it didn't like my ID number. Even bus companies are tied into the national ID number system?!? Anyway, with a phone call, everything was fine. Nobody ever seemed to be checking reservations, but it is probably good to have. Anyway, the great public transport is one be positive thing about skiing in Korea. |

| Thanks for that. Can you read Korean? Can you tell me if there are buses from Sinchon on that timetable? |

Yes, they go from Sinchon (near Yonsei and Sogang).
I took the 5:05 am bus.
Sincheon is 신촌.
At 5:05 AM out of Sinchon exit 7 walk 100 meters to front of Hana bank. |
