|
|
Probably a stupid question but here it goes:
According to the itinerary i'm supposed to be leaving for Korea Friday 9/25 at 1300 and arriving 1635 on Saturday 9/26.
Does that mean i'll actually be arriving on Sunday the 26th? or does that usually take the day difference thing into consideration? I know when I fly west you actually can "gain time," so I figured i'd be about even until I cross the date line and then cross it at 1pm on Saturday.
or something like that.
I just confused the crap out of myself typing that. I only ask because I made plans on Sunday and I'm not sure if I should reschedule.
Thanks!!

Said a little differently, times on travel itineraries are always printed in local time. Usually says so at the bottom somewhere. |

It depends how many time zones you go through, and which side of the equator they are on. If you go through 6 time zones in the northern hemisphere, and just one in the southern hemisphere you have to take into consideration the 'gain time'. This means you shoulld arrive one sixth (1/6) earlier than the stated travel duration. |

Reminds me of the $10 golf balls for sale in a pro shop back in the States.

Having originated in North America, I feel like life owes me for one lost day while I'm in Korea.
Conversely, on visits back, its always a funny kick to land in NA earlier than my plane took off from Incheon. |
