If you're moving here to teach, your school should arrange a pickup for you at the airport and drive you to your apartment. If they aren't, I'd throw a fit. That's unacceptable, flying halfway around the world and having to sleep at a hotel your first night. If you're not a teacher, sorry, idk, good luck though. |

1.) This is posted in the wrong place
2.) If you're coming to here to teach refer to previous post
3.) If you're just visiting, when you get off the airplane shoot to your left and you'll see a booth that says Hostel/Backpackers info.
Mind you, this is past the hotel info booth.
Tell the lady behind the desk you want to stay at the Airport guest house, she'll call someone for you who will come and pick you up and drive you to the "hostel."
Its not really a hostel though, its pretty much a cheap motel thats really, really nice. You get your own room with usually two beds with a nice hot shower. |

You can make a reservation at Incheon Guesthouse at http://www.ghincheon.com/e_index.htm which I would do, because they're often full. There are a bunch of other airport hotels in the area with free shuttles, although they're more expensive and not as good. |

Hahah yeah, by "Airport Guesthouse" I meant "Incheon Guesthouse." I forgot there probably is an "Airport Guesthouse."
About the reservations, I never made one and every time I went the lady said it was full, but he would offer me a double or triple for the same price. I did end up going way late at night though. So, its risky but you may end up getting a better room if you don't make reservations. |

There's a small city about 10 minutes away that is pretty much a bedroom community for the people who work at the airport. It's crowded during the week, but is pretty much a ghost town on the weekend. Workers go home on the weekend.
It's called Unseo-dong. There are MANY hotels there with an average cost of W40k-W50k/night. It's probably about W5,000 to get there by taxi from the airport. There is also a subway at the airport and Unseo-dong that will take you to Seoul as well. Here is some info on it:
