I heard that if you renew your contract with a public school through GEPIK the second contract is with the school itself. Is this a new policy?
Would the school generally stick with the same GEPIK contract especially in terms of hours, pay scale etc? Could I get seat warming written out?
People who have renewed recently what have your experiences been? |

When they see you as a trustworthy sane person they tend to give you the time off. Unless it is a time that the Korean teachers are expected to be there. Most of the time they make you go beacause they fear some Korean educational official will show up and start asking questions. |

definitely a renewal with the same school is with the same school, not gepik. Gepik just helped them place a NET at their school, that's all.
vacation deskwarming is up to the school itself, though some provincial offices of education are exerting increasing pressure for school to keep their net's "employed" by doing extra camps, or just being in school.
Avoid if at all possible. |
