Did you guys miss me? Well, I married the love of my life here in Los Angeles this past weekend. Honeymoon will have to wait 'til November (we're going to the Maldives) because duty calls and I have to be back in the office on Monday! Man, this past year has been the craziest year ever! See you suckas in Seoul! Cool

Congratulations, and a pre-emptive 'sorry about your divorce'.

Well, I suppose sh*t happens. But it looks like you're a newbie here. I'm Korean-American and she sees a native Korean. She doesn't speak much English, but I'm fluent in Korean, so no communication issues. We love each other and our families approve of the marriage, so I'd say we're off to a good start as far as marriages go.

Ah yes, of course, I base my marriage on our ethnicities, language compatibility, and whether or not my parents approved or not. Love will keep us together!

What else can you base a marriage on, money?

Yes, Gibbergoon, pray, do let us in on your secrets to a successful marriage. Rolling Eyes

Now I know why I stayed away from Dave's for a year. I see some things just don't change.

Congrats!

Is it just me, or don't other people think that K-girls have an uncanny ability to be able to, to quote Beyonce, "like it then [...] put a ring on it"?

Congratuations Freakstar, and best of luck to you and your beautiful bride. Just remember it's for 'better or worse', so don't take the better times for granted, enjoy and celebrate them. And you have each other to get thru the bad times. Use your individual strengths to be there for each other and you'll have a long and happy union.

My friend is having relations today in a love motel with a Korean wife who based her marriage on money, parent approval, and ethnicity. No joke.

My Korean friend had a few summer flings with a Korean women who was married to an American. She told her husband she was visiting relatives in Korea but she was actually chasing my Korean friend all over Seoul. She missed Korean men and said her hubby was terrible in bed.

My other Korean friend had this Canadian women knocking on his door at all hours while her Canadian husband was out teaching.
