 I just bought a new high performance samsung computer from G-market. The user manual is in Korean, so I have no idea how to get the computer to function on its basic level. All the prompts on the computer are also in Korean. Its a model R520 Korean computer; you don't find that model in the USA. It's operating speed is 2.53 ghz. Its a fast computer. I need to upload my Rosetta Stone Korean on to it. Any help would be appreciated. |

Put in your CD and let it autoplay...? Or if you have a hooky version download daemon tools, install it in English, mount your image and voila.
You're a bit of a spack though spending all that money on a brand new laptop and not even asking them to install an English version of windows on it. |

You don't need no stinkin' manual!!
Have you used Microsoft Windows before?
All the basic functions are carried out in the same way as any computer with English Windows.
Are you actually surprised that Koreans use Korean language versions of software? |

Actually I don't need help running a computer. I have been using computers for years. As far as my technical ability i used to put microelectrodes in invertebrate neurons, and make recordings of the neurons electrical activity, and I understood the equipment that I used for that very well. What i need is to make a brand new computer operational, I don't need to know how to run it.
Why don't you passive-agressive scum simply leave your comments to yourselves. You make the comments that you make because you don't have the strength to make a positive impact on other people. Learn how to make positive contributions to other individuals, that is if you're strong enough inside to do that. |

We passive-aggressive scum need to know what you mean by "making the computer operational"........
Does it have Windows installed? When you press the power button does it boot up to windows?
You have bought a computer in Korea without stipulating to the vendor that you wanted English Windows. So you're going to have to work with Korean Windows unless you find a way (friend or service) to get English windows installed.
Do you mean connecting cables for monitor, mouse, keyboard etc? |

Perhaps you used a computer in the past at some point, but your powers of describing exactly what you want done is poor at best. Operating a computer is a vastly broad term.
I have a frickin degree in computer science, but I ain't wasting my time on a clown who can't even describe the problem. Operate! Sheesh!

Regarding use, not much, huh? I have to say that for a novice Korean speaker, the some messages may be quite daunting.
