About when does a school ask you to renew with EPIK Busan? How much before the end of the contract do you sign a new one?

I would especially like the opinions of people that have renewed a couple of times.

Thanks.... |

All offices of education require that the school has to get the teacher to make the decision (yes I want to stay or no I am going) 3 months before your contract finishes.

There is no automatic right to stay and this is not the decision of the teacher, the decision is the schools. |

				| You will receive a form in December which you will fill out indicating whether you want to stay, transfer or are leaving EPIK. As I remember, if you want to renew, for example, your request has to be approved by the EPIK manager, among others. |

				| Is it easy to transfer to another POE? For example, I am in Jeju, and want to move to Seoul. Is that difficult to do? Will I take a pay cut moving to Seoul, or will they at least give me the same salary? |

SMOE (Seoul) is not part of EPIK, so you cant do a direct transfer there.

This year EPIK did some additional hiring for SMOE- then many got fired!at last minute

Transfers are usually only within the same city or province you are already in, if they are even considered at all. |

				| Never say never. I transfered from two high schools to two elementary schools in the city I live in. It can be done but you have to talk to the POE about it. Once finish your first contract in EPIK, you do have the option to transfer. |
