I worked in a hagwon in Jeonju for 6 months which I was forced to quit

The directors name is Seok Woo Jung
The name of the hagwon is "John's English Cafe"

Here are the problems: 1)my contract meant nothing to him
2) he pocketed all of my taxes and pension money
3) he stole my last months pay
4) no airfare reimbursememt
5) no health coverage (required in the contract)
6) very amateurish
7) constantly attempted to take money off of each monthy paycheque

Seok Woo Jung may have gone out of the hagwon business or changed his hagwon name, but here is the address of his school in Jeonju:
"John's English cafe"
759-1, Junghwasan - Dong, Jeonju City
560-252, Korea
Tel-82-63-237-1467
Email- [email protected]

Avoid this scammer at all costs!!

At least you have the guts and balls to post the name, etc....
the majority of "teacher's" won't do that.......long on rhetoric and short on specifics....
Thank you for the heads up!

If teachers are staying in Korea then it would be extremely stupid of them to post the name of the school. You have been here long enough to know about Korean laws pertaining to negative talk about businesses, even if it is true.

Ever heard of litigation.
It's a real problem.

Try getting a brain. Poster may be the only weigook-in t the school. Poster stated how long he taught at the school. You don't think that they can put 2 and 2 together?

Why should I have need to grow a pair? Am I complaining about my school? Have I ever complained about my school on this board? Am I angry at my school and feel the need to post it on this board but am afraid to?

No.

A stand up person will post correct info and back it up....it does not matter if the person is living in canada, the U.S., etc.....post BS and you'll get sued. Post the truth with proof and facts...you're good to go.
A cry baby/whinner will post innuendos.
Far more credibility is given with names, addresses, etc.
The OP has the balls to stand up and complain and not hide.
So freaking what if the school owner knows it was you who posted the truth! Of course the school owner will say it's all a lie and the teacher is bad....But come on...immigration knows darn well what goes on and you can count on one hand minus 4 fingers the amount of teachers who have been sued successfully for libel! If even that.
Many many years ago I posted a few school names and owners name, warning others about a few school owners lacking credibility. I was told..."I'm gonna sue you" or "you're going to jail" type thing. So what I said! Go for it...because what I posted was true.
So what if they put two and two together! If you post BS...then you deserve what happens. Otherwise, have the courage to stand up. You see wrong and do nothing, you're just as bad as the person doing it.

Not in Korea. Even publicizing true but private information can lead to a successful litigation.
