Hi there,

As part of a package I'm sending to a non-Muslim expat living in Malaysia, I wanted to include a small bottle of soju. I have tried searching online for postal rules and regulations, but can not find any information. I'm guessing that more than likely, it is illegal, but if anyone happens to know any differently, I'd greatly appreciate your response. Thanks in advance.

There are plenty of places in Malaysia legally selling booze.

Yep, i'm aware of that; however, when I tried to soju home twice to Canada, it was confiscated by Canada Customs. Anyone know if this might be a problem as well in Malaysia?

Common sense time, people! If you can't send booze to Canada, how in the hell do you think you can send booze to a largely Muslim state like Malaysia!?

DO NOT send booze by post to anywhere on the planet!

You aren't supposed to send booze in the mail to any country. That said, unless you are sending it to a place like Saudi Arabia the worst that will happen is that customs will confiscate it, and that will be all. It's up to you - if it were me I would just send it and hope for the best - but there is a chance that your friend won't get the soju.
