The "Magic English Teacher", (magic-english-teacher-coming-a-school-near-you-halloween or learn-professional-business-english-most-famous-teacher) is currently being investigated for a robbery at a couchsurfer place the 27th of November. Stealing from other Teachers are not very nice so any details about his whereabouts can be informed to the cop, Mr. Ku (011-9231-1529), who is investigating the case.

As for the robbery you can read the topic here:

The responses to his ads are quite entertaining.

Why don't they just call him up and book him for a gig? Should have him show up pretty fast..

I am more shocked that there is a website for people to connect with each other in order to crash on someone's couch.

I guess it shows my age, as I'd rather get a motel than crash on someone's couch. Especially a complete stranger.

Trusting complete strangers to crash at your place...weird. Shocked

Yeah the whole crashing in apartments/jimjilbang thing is so....classless.
Grow up people, this isn't college anymore. Get your finances in line enough to be ale to afford a motel.

I actually use that as a barometer- if somebody is like "Dude, just crash on the couch or stay at a jimjilbang", they may be fun to hang out with, but they still are stuck in college.

This is an really unfortunate situation, but please don't be quick to make judgements about the couchsurfing thing. Of course it is not for everyone, and of course you do take some risks participating, but we have found it a great system and have hosted three times.

Also, it's not only about saving money. The people we've hosted have been from three different countries, two of which I have never been to. The cutltural sharing that happens with couchsurfing is rather priceless, and a LOT more fun than staying in a hotel.

It's risky but worth it. I met some very interesting people who showed me things about their cities that I couldn't have seen by myself. I would host again. Not going to let one jerk ruin the whole system.

If he's really good, both magically and charm wise, I'm sure he can keep a few ladies interested long enough for him to close the deal.

I've been using couchsurfing.org for years now and it's been a great experience.
There are built in protections, and the general rule is to not accept travellers who don't come highly recommended.
I've been lucky to find places in bahrain that weren't 300 usd pernight, as well as attending amazing parties in paris... not bad in my book.

Seriously, why are you asking for help locating this guy? As crossmr said, just book a lesson with him, or go to one of his shows. His latest advertisement, with his phone number, on Koreabridge was yesterday!!

Heh, I actually know who this dude is. Met him a few times in different bars in Busan. Will make sure that I notify someone if I see him around any time soon.

It'd be quite funny to see an amateur magician getting taken down mid-set.
