Who are the best? I am being called in "voluntarily" for questioning but I just don't trust this system. It has to do with a friend who was caught for illegal activities that I don't want to get into and please don't ask.

I was told I don't need a lawyer nor to get my embassy involved, but it just scares me because I don't know my rights. I am not so concerned about myself but don't want to be pressured into any statements as I am sure my friend is in trouble.

Any advice?? Or should I just not go to talk to them because they don't have a warrant forcing me to go talk to them and it is just "voluntary"

Well I saw the one thred that said the one website was incorrect. That is why I asked for advice, otherwise I would have preferred to keep it a private matter

you could try

the Seoul Global center in City Hall offers legal advice on Tuesday and Thursday from 2-5.

The Seoul Bar Association, the 서울지방변호사회 offers free legal advice for foreigners on Mondays from 2-5pm. The place is easy to find. Just go out exit 8 of Seocho Station.

Maybe other posters can help better with specific lawyers anyway....the above only covers legal advice

thanks, appreciate the help. I just got back and got a call through work which I was not to happy about. They want me to go in by Wednesday so that makes it tough. I am just looking for quick advice. Not sure if I will go, or if I will show up but bring a lawyer. Don't want to be forced into answering questions I am not legally obliged to answer, although don't know my rights
