South China like Yunnan or shenzhen, Macau but no great wall in winter. Even April was too cold. |

I visited Beijing in December (around Xmas) and it was really, really cold and there was a foot of snow on the ground. That said, the only really uncomfortable time during my stay was at the great wall, b/c of the winds, but in the city everything was ok. |

dont go to shenzhen. yunnan province is great. there are a lot of beautiful places to visit there, and the people are all very nice. kunming, lijiang, and dali are fun places to see, and you will get to see some of the smaller ethnic groups. xishuangbanna is the best place i have been to in yunnan, i would recommend checking that region out, and it wont be winter there. |

I think Shenzhen is really cool. I like staying and partying in Shekou and from there one can take boats to HK, Macau and that other Chinese city near Macau which name eludes me. If you are a single male and like partying Shenzhen will not be boring. |
