So I'm at ChildU in Jeungpyeong.

I came over thinking that I would be teaching English based on American curriculum. I was fine with that. My director told me that I wouldn't have to teach the other crap like math and science because well, I suck at both and that was understood. I'm here though and I'm being told to teach all of it.

Plus the curriculum is horrible. I'm not really quite sure what the point of teaching half the stuff they want taught is.

I was told to make lesson plans. I made them. The director/other teacher has already taught them.

I'm expected to use MY laptop for the classes.

I'm also expected to teach an adult class with NO curriculum.

All my friends are telling me to find another job, but I'm not quite sure how to do it. Any advice would be appreciated.

Assuming you're here on an E-2, I'd start by (politely) informing your boss you know that to teach anything other than a language is illegal. Take it from there depending on his/her reaction.

If you have been working for nine months or more, and want to switch jobs without getting a new visa (and all that entails), you will need a 'Letter of Release' to have sponsorship of your visa transferred to the new employer. Otherwise, he/she has you by the proverbial 'short & curlies'... welcome to K-land.
