Anyone know anything about it? Was offered a job and thinking about taking it... anyone previously worked there or at an all girls highschool? Is it weird that I'm a male and they're hiring me? Any insight would be great.

Let me know

Yes, it is strange that a male teacher would hired in that school. It did have a teacher-student-indecent conduct scandal that was hushed up in '07.

wow... really? I myself would never put myself in that position but that's interesting. Well jobs are sparse so probably going to take it. If anyone else has any insight feel free to keep this bad boy going.

There's only one all girl high school in Anseong? How do we know which one you are talking about?

I'm guessing because it's not a big place I'm sure it would be difficult to have two grils high schools there. So assuming there is only one. I have no idea what it's called.

There is only one girls high school in Anseung. There are other high schools in Anseung, including all boys and a pre-law high school. The scandal is only a rumour. Apparently a student was 'groped' by a teacher and she demanded on the school website that the teacher be punished. The teacher claimed an accidental contact. There was much interest from the public. The teacher was given leave. All that are just rumours and there's no proof of anything. However, girls who were choosing which high school to go to were concerned. That was '07, I haven't seen any questions of lately, so it's probably past history.

I work in anseong (elementary school) and it seems as the single sexed schools have opposite sex teachers. The teachers for the anseong girls' middle and the previous teacher for anseong girls high are both male. And the teachers for anseong boys' middle school and high school are both women. And yes, I knew all of them.

I used to work at an all-girls high school, and it was no big deal that they were all girls. Just never be alone with a student as a precaution.

I've just spent 11 months at an all girls' private school (MS + HS). Great fun. Great kids. They've been the easiest, most polite/ kind students I've taught. Will miss them like hell.

Hay.
Iv'e taught in two Girl's High schools going on three years now without any problems. CDNKOREA is on the mark. Be professional and you won't have any problems. Keep your head down and just do your job. It's not uncommon for a male to be hired in an all girl's school. However, my current school likes the fact that I'm married, as well as being pretty ugly with no charisma or sense of humor to speak of. Good luck!

Do you have any idea how much time I've taken and effort I've made trying to get them to move the apostrophe from between the l and s? Now if I end up working at your school some day I'll probably have to start all over again.
