I'm trying to find a tent. If anyone has one they'd be willing to pass off, let me know. Otherwise, does anyone know where I can find a good summer tent for a single person. I'm in Mokdong, Seoul.

There are a bunch of hiking/camping stores near one of the entrances to Namdaemun market (on the street, not in the market itself). I'm pretty sure it is the gate near Hoehyeon subway station.

Go to Jongno 5-ga. Scour the area from there all the way to Dongdaemun. The small road in between the Chunggaechun and the main road through Jongno has some cheaper places...most places sell high end stuff for climbing Everest--people here love the expensive stuff. I avoid it.

or, this place has great deals...but you need to have a Korean help you navigate.

or, go to Dobangsan and enjoy a nice day hike. They sell tons of gear at the bottom of the mountain.

blue line (line 1) all the way up to dobangsan station. Get off the train...follow the other hikers.

Good luck!!

E-mart and HomePlus have nice tents. I can't recall how much they were selling them for but I remember seeing a selection. You should also consider looking online or outdoor hiking shops located in Dongdaemun. They sell all types of gear.
