I've never been into nightclubs, even during my university years. Why do you go? |

Music, drinks, girls, dancing with a group of friends...that's my definition of fun. I know it's not for everyone, but it always has been for me. |

Same as above: music, drinks, dancing...
I don't go anymore. Out in the sticks the only clubs are booking clubs, we never really knew what was going on until someone tried to "book' one of my friends... |

Maybe I'm getting old, but I think clubs are too noisy, too crowded, too expensive and to top off the pain, I'm forced to dance.
I particularly hate Korean clubs because they are far too crowded. Dangerously so, IMO. The sensible thing to do would be to limit the number of people, but it just doesn't seem to happen here. Imagine if there was a fire, like the one in Thailand last year. |

A bar patron pays a bouncer/server to coerce a girl over to their table to drink and talk. |

There's a wide range of places to go. Some quiet and not crowded. Go to those if ya dislike the rackets and crowds. Or just hang out with like-minded souls who will go for the quieter, maybe cheaper deals. Always a good option. |

Me too. That's how I spent my twenties! Good times on George Street in Newfoundland.
And then a strange thing happened in my early thirties. I went to a club one night, as usual, and it just suddenly wasn't fun at all anymore. It was expensive, crowded, and too noisy to talk to girls anyway. I never went to another nightclub.
I don't fault anyone who likes clubs. I'll just take a pub or lounge. |

For those who've never been to a night club, I feel sorry for your choice of lifestyle. Hopefully there will be night clubs in heaven.
I've had my best nights and worse nights in a night club. Going there is like going fishing, you seriously never know what you will catch. But with the right tools at the right time, serious fun can be had.
Sometimes you meet a gorgeous girl, have loads of fun dancing, get a nice buzz, have great conversation, meet fantastic people, hear increadible cutting edge music.
Othertimes, you strikeout, hear the same old garbage, get too drunk, waste money, and meet no one.
Night clubs are places where you can show off your sense of fashion, style, your dancing and conversational skills with other people looking to do the same thing.
If you think conversation, meeting people, cool music, fancy drinks, stylish clothing and dancing are not good things, then avoid the night club at all costs. You social outcast. |
