|

I read a thread here that said the Korean banks can (will?) freeze my bank account if my visa status changes to tourism.
That's a nightmare! Do I have to get an E-2 visa just to get my money out of my account? |

I'm basing it on this post:
http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=131919&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15
On second read, maybe he/she was referring to a credit card account.
Actually I tried using my Korean bank card here (not a credit card) to see if it worked and the ATM gave a message 'your card has been retained by the bank'.
I feel I'm going to have trouble with immigration. |

I left Korea with a bank account open, for five years only came back on tourist visas, and still have the same account. |
