hi all,

I'm looking for a monitor for my macbook pro (2009 model) 15".

At my Hasook Jib the cable is free and I want Korean television. I would normally use GOM player and stream online but there isn't any mac version I don't think.

I'm looking to spend around 500,000 KRW and would like something 24" plus. I want to be able to watch HDTV and use it for my MAcbook as a monitor on my desk when I choose. I already have an external mouse and keyboard. My graphics card is a Nvidia 9600M 512 MB.

Any recommendations? LG? Samsung? Has anyone done this "2 for 1" before?

THanks!

I bought one here in Korea online for 500,000. It's a great, 1080p, HDTV, monitor. So many connection choices.

In my opinion the best monitor to get right now is:

LG 27" M2794D-PM

I have a Macbook Pro 13" (1 month old) and a Macbook Pro 15" (early 2009). And i would recommend getting Parallels and installing Windows 7 on it. That's how i run GOM player and other Korean programs...not to mention needing to use Korean online banking websites. If you're looking for international TV streaming for free check out TVU, they have it for Mac.

Eamo,

Could you put me the direction as to where you got the 500,000 KRW price. The best I can do is 550,000.

THanks!

That seems to be the price of it now, My wife may have had a coupon for whatever website she ordered it from, bringing the price down to 500,000..............but also, remember, in Korea, if an item sells well they raise the price!! I know....insane....

I'd say 550,000 is still a good price.....It is a 2ms, 400cd, 27'' Full-HD TV afterall. With tons of the latest connection options.
