|
|
Hi there,
I'm going to be studying in Sogang during Spring next year so am hoping to find a good place to live near the university.
Anyone has any suggestions please? I saw some ha-sook-jib suggestions on the university website but have no idea how good one place is vs another.
Am looking out for:
-Somewhere close to Sogang
-Close to subway i.e. convenient
-Has internet access (preferably included in rental instead of surcharge type)
-Provides laundry
-If some meals provided will be great.
-Clean and safe
-No curfew
Help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!! |

My hasook is pretty good.
The meals are all organic korean food.
Internet is included
The rooms are new and have A/C (which is cheap. I had the sucker on everyday and teh monthly bill was only 10,000)
It is a 15 min walk to Sogang. 5 min walk to Ewha station.
The Ajummeonni is a bit nuts but she is cool/
There isn' any curfew Just don't make a racket if you come in late.
THe only drawbacks and this this could be huge for you:
1. You can't have people in your room (especially girls if you are a guy)
2. You can't drink alcohol in your room
3. If you are a guy you share 1 bathroom between 4 people. The bathroom is new though and I've never had a problem waiting my turn to use it.
There are pros and cons. The smaller rooms go for 450,000 KRW/month so the price is right. You get breakfast and dinner. I usually pig out so I don't need to buy food during the day other than snacks and drinks (there is a provate fridge you can use)
getting and apt would be a pain in the ass. There is the stupid key money. I would pay AT LEAST 600,000 won plus utilities and I would have to worry about feeding myself. |
