Anyone else watching this show? If you need some entertainment for the commute to work, you could do worse. I've seen this show compared to Curb, AD, and others. Here's a blurb from TV guide:
Quote:
Remember Arrested Development? The Fox sitcom threw all previous sitcom conventions out the window with quick-cut camera angles, unlikable characters headed by Jason Batemans Michael Bluth, and mockumentary-style filming.

Smart and super-funny, it was cancelled too soon.

Heres hoping the same fate doesnt befall Modern Family, the best new sitcom of the TV season.

Shot like a mockumentary and sharing Developments writing and acting style, ABCs sitcom is about three very different, but related, families.

Ed ONeill (Married... With Children) plays Jay, an older man who marries a much younger Colombian woman named Gloria (Sofia Vergara, The Knights of Prosperity), whose 11-year-old son, Manny (Rico Rodriguez), is a little too sensitive for Jays manly taste.

Then theres Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson, The Class) and his partner, Cameron (Eric Stonestreet, CSI), a gay couple who have just adopted a baby girl from Vietnam. And finally, theres Claire (Julie Bowen, Boston Legal) and her husband, Phil (Ty Burrell, Back to You), who have three chaos-causing kids.

The cast is simply fantastic, especially Burrell as the clueless, wannabe hip dad, and Ferguson and Stonestreet as the gay couple.

The show is about as funny as a non cable tv sitcom can get.

This show has potential to be the next Arrested Development. Not saying that it's anywhere near as amazing as AD, but it's good. Really good.

I just watched 15 minutes of the first episode. I wouldn't watch this show ever again. I had one moment of funny, the part about mall walkers.

Sitcoms don't usually hit their stride in the first episode.
