I'm having medical issues that doctors in Gwangju can't or won't take the time to figure out. Out of desperation, I'm considering coming to Seoul. I've looked through the medical threads, but some of them are outdated and would love a recommendation before I travel four hours to see someone. I have the national health insurance - are any of these places reasonably priced?
Symptoms - sore throat, earache, lack of energy, headache, body aches, and a huge lump on the top of back/bottom of neck for two weeks |

Itaewon International Clinic Dr. Soo-young (Mike) Kim. I've always found him to be excellent! |

Asan Hospital near Olympic Park has a good international clinic. But beware: it is expensive. |

Thanks for the replies. Is Asan expensive even with national health insurance? |

I like the international clinic at Yonsei Severance Hospital near Sinchon Station. They used evidence-based medicine and although a bit more pricey, they have cured me when other K. doctors didn't have a clue. The doctors there all speak English and they are thorough.
Appointments are necessary (except for Saturdays when they have accept walkins, but check to make sure)

I've also heard good things about Seoul National University hospital near Hyewha Station.

Please get yourself to one of these places and skip the 'medical clinics' tha abound. |

Asan will run you about W30,000 to see the doctor. That is not expensive, IMHO.
Asan gets expensive when it comes to more complicated procedures such as diagnositc tests and surgery. |

Seoul University Hospital at Hyehwa have a very good service for foreigners. Go in the main entrance and turn immediately right. You'll see the sign for foreigners. |
