|
|
It's in the Kyeonglidang part up near the Hyatt Hotel, close to Namsan Park. Nice area, lots of trees. Cool modern villa only built in the past few years. 18 pyong/60 square meters. Bedroom with closet, kitchen/living area, bathroom and study. Air con and washing machine included.
780 000/month + 20 000 maintenance fee = 800 000/month. I'll upload photos when I get the chance.
I need someone to take over the lease, the lease will finish in May next year.
PM or leave a post here if you're interested. |

not to pry or be rude, but out of sheer curiosity; what do you do? are you an english teacher? 800k for housing is steep--then again, i live in a dirt-cheap area of korea |

18평 is pretty big for a one room. Is the bedroom separated from the living area? Is the study a separate room also?
How abotu the deposit, is there any? You got pictures of the place?
OP, you'll probably have about 66 teachers in Gangnam Public Schools that would think about the place. 800k a month is within their price range.
I there a bus that goes from your area to Gangnam? |

You've always been a cool poster, I'm not trying to attack you or anything but I ask out of sheer curiosity - how could gangnam public school teachers afford this and not teachers from other areas? If they all work for SMOE, then do they not all get a similar pay of between 2-2.4m won? And don't they all receive a similar housing allowance? I've seen teachers that taught at a HS near the one I used to go to (in Gaepo-dong, southern Gangnam-gu) who would ride a bus way up north across the river to get back to their homes. At least, I'm assuming it was to go back home... It was on an everyday basis.
EDIT: As for buses, I don't know EXACTLY where this house is, but I'll pretend Gangnam station is where you want to start out at and answer the question: bus 402 goes to the hotel directly. Also, bus 421, a new bus line (started sometime during the summer this year) goes straight to itaewon street/station. |

It appears that the BLUE 402 bus goes from outside the Grand Hyatt Hotel right to Gagnam Station. Very handy.
Namsan is a lovely park to live next to. You also pay for a wonderful location. |

Not sure about the OP, but some people work multiple schools and earn well over 5 million per month. In such situations, a nice pad to come home to isn't always bad. |

I'm interested, can you tell me the key money deposit.
Typo- the OP didn't say he/she was specifically looking for English teachers to rent his place... and 800 is not steep if you consider many English teachers live in officetels that can cost well over 1 mil a month. Its mostly preference... if you want to live in a crappy place for 300,000 won or a nice modern place for 1mil... |

Gangnam teachers get about 200-300,000 won more per month in salary (the district kicks it in), also at last check their housing was 600,000/mo which is more than many other public school teachers get. |

800 seems kind of steep for 18 pyeong in that area though. Maybe if it is really nice... |
