Right now I'm only dealing with one recruiter, but some of the things they want have me worried.

They want me to send my degree to Korea, and I'm also having to get my background check apostilled and sent to them.

Now if I were dealing with multiple recruiters how would this work? The background check was $25, and it will be another $10 plus shipping and a weeks time for apostilled.

Am I going to have to spend $35 per recruiter for this? Also, if I send my degree to one recruiter.. I won't be able to send it to another.

Don't send anything until you have a contract. They don' tneed hard copies to find you a job. Send them scans if they want to see you have the docs in hand.

Thank you so much. I would have sent it too.

So pretty much, they can do their job off of my resume and photo? Then when the time comes, send them what they need?

Hey

I made an application to EPIK just recently through a recruiter and I had to send them copies of my reference letter transcript and photocopies of my passport page. Also they will want me to send them my apostilled CRB disclosure form and photocopies of my Apostilled degree certificate - from what I gather from the last post we shouldn't be sending them the originals of anything?

What about if you have been applying for EPIK? Also has anyone heard of ESLStarter as a recruiter?

Shofny

From what I'm understanding now, if they need something send them a copy until you get the contract.

Yes, Shofny, only send the originals when you have a job absolutely confirmed. If you send the originals and the recruiter can't sort a job for you then you'll have to go through the hassle of getting new ones.

I'm signed up to ESLStarter. They were helpful when they rang up and did contact me about jobs initially. I haven't heard anything in a couple of weeks.

So far I've gone through People Recruit and ESLTeacherRecruiter.com

I had been dealing with People Recruit initially, the recruiter was very friendly, but the tone seem much more casual than what I was expecting. She did give me the contact of another teacher she had placed, but wanted to add me to facebook, and was trying to get me to go hiking with her and her friends upon my arrival. Maybe this is normal?

Regardless, she wanted me to send all my documents, so now I'm just going to contact more recruiters.
